Lauren R. Smith is the founder and attorney at Lauren Smith Legal Services (LSLS). A settlement-focused lawyer, Lauren is dedicated to finding the right solution for her clients and their families, whether through mediation, negotiation, or litigation.

Her mediation practice serves families at various stages of conflict, from pre-marital agreements to peaceful divorce resolutions. She conducts mediations for self-represented individuals and those with attorneys.

For clients requiring litigation, Lauren handles a wide range of family law matters, including divorce (contested and uncontested), divorce modifications, stepparent adoptions, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, legitimations, contempt cases, and estate planning through will drafting.

With over 200 court appearances and experience in both bench and jury trials, Lauren has also participated in over 20 appellate cases. She is well-versed in complex mediations and approaches each case with a pragmatic and empathetic mindset, ensuring her clients receive tailored, effective service.

Lauren's personal life as a mother of four and wife of 15 years influences her compassionate and family-focused legal approach. Lauren earned her J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law, where she was active in Moot Court, Phi Alpha Delta, and the Student Trial Lawyers Association. She holds a B.S. in English from Auburn University.
